Vowels Treasure Chest:(short and long vowels)
Teaching long and short vowels helps with developing good reading and spelling.
E.g. “I have an ant. Do you think can has a short ‘a’ sound or a long ‘ay’ sound? I also have a cake. I wonder if that is a short a or a long “ay” sound?”

There are 5 treasure chests covering different skills. Each chest contains delightful collection of toys and objects designed as an aid in teaching children the foundation skills needed for literacy development. All resources for activities are supplied, making the busy teacher or parent’s life easier and hassle free! Toys have been carefully selected to allow you to teach a wide range of skills.
Booklets are supplied with the treasure chests which describe detailed ideas and suggestions for +- 19 activities, games and worksheets
Each kit has -+ 75 items and/or pictures. Children will love exploring Casey’s Treasure Chest allowing for stimulation of vocabulary, language and visual skills. This helps with sequencing of stories and story writing.
These treasure chests are designed to be used in conjunction with “Magic Caterpillar Building Blocks to Literacy Programme” (MCBBL) and “Phonemic Awareness and Auditory Information Processing” by Barbara Brann. The chests can also be used independently as all instructions and equipment are supplied. You are also able to add your own objects to suit different cultures and languages.
Each box consists of: ± 75 Toys and some pictures, instruction book and CD with reproducible worksheets. Age range 3½- 7 years
